My favorite part about running Stone Masters is the stone. I love the stone. In fact, I am passionate about stone — and everyone who works with it is too. That is because it is stunningly beautiful. You never get tired of its beauty.
Just recently, I was asked by an interviewee, “What is your favorite thing about Stone Masters Inc.?” I had never been asked before, but the words just came spilling out: “the stone.”

Our Story
Today, Stone Masters is family owned and operated by Dan and Ann Marie DiTomaso. This is how we became Stone Masters Inc.
The Beginning — the 90’s
When Ann Marie and Dan started to remodel their own kitchen, they wanted granite. But there were only two or three places around — and they were not friendly at all. They demanded to know who the kitchen designer or builder was before they would even talk about stone. Back then, there was the Yellow Pages and no internet. After a lot of searching they ended up at a big box store, only to be sent to a local fabricator with a very limited and cramped slab selection. They thought to themselves: “there must be a better way.”
Red Barn Repairs
Before the stone business, Dan and Ann Marie were buying, renovating, and selling houses — and every house got a granite kitchen and tile bathrooms. Dan would fabricate the stone counters and set the tile himself under the Red Barn Repairs name, while Ann Marie would find, stage, and sell those houses. They renovated scores of homes and got better with each passing one.
Word Spreads
Dan bought more and more stone-working tools until they were fully equipped. Soon, home buyers who saw their houses asked them to work on the homes they were selling to make them more marketable. And on and on…
Stone Masters Inc. Today
Over two decades later, Stone Masters Inc. is Chester County’s premier fabricator of natural stone and quartz countertops — with a full fabrication facility, an expansive slab yard, a design showroom in Kennett Square, and more than a million square feet of stone installed.

Recycled and Green
The Stone Masters factory uses over 12 million gallons of recycled water per year in the manufacturing of our countertops. We maintain our own on-site water recycling equipment — a combination of reverse osmosis, mechanical, cyclonic, and gravity filtration cleans and reuses the water in our facility.
Built Around Natural Light
All used cardboard, plastic, and metal waste is recycled through our recycling program. Our stone storage building was purpose-built with a 132-foot by 4-foot translucent light panel, so free natural light eliminates 100% of daytime energy waste.
