Travertine Vanity
Pictured to the left is a travertine vanity top with a semi circle shape.
This particular stone is called Wooden Travertine and it really has veining that looks like natural wood,. Travertine makes a great material for vanity.
The neutral tones of travertine go with almost any neutral colors. These are timeless classic tones. Travertine is typically a honed stone and therefore lacks the shiny "bling- bling" look associated with a highly polished granite.
Travertine is a naturally porous material and it is available filled or unfilled. In a bathroom setting as a travertine vanity the filled travertine is a better and easier to keep clean option than the natural unfilled variety. Unfilled travertine is for applications where texture is more important such as on a wall application or even as a flooring tile as the grout will fill the voids and match the whole color of the floor grout and all collectively much better.
