Kashmir White granite is not a truly white, white color. It is more “off white” with wisps of a blue/gray running through it with very small, dark red mineral deposits that are only red if you look very closely. From any distance you might think the dark red mineral deposits are black, that is how dark the red is.

Kashmir White granite is quarried and found in India. It is a very popular stone that is quarried in vast quantities with much automation and economies of scale lending to it being a very cost effective counter top stone.

It is rather consistent and does not vary as much as other stones. The slab sizes for this stone are only average. They are not too small nor are they very large. The block sizes do vary and as a result so do the slab sizes. If you are looking for a stone that can cover a large island without any seams this may not be the right stone for you.

This stone is popular in smaller kitchens as the overall light color tends to help smaller rooms feel larger. This stone also is popular in smaller kitchens due to its cost effectiveness. This is a price level one stone here at Stone Masters inc.

Kashmir White is an SR-0 stone. It is not resin treated and as a result tends to be more vulnerable to staining. Sealing regularly is required and care should be taken to clean up spills more than with stones that do have a higher SR rating.
