We charge per square foot, not per slab. In most cases, we can get about 40 usable square feet out of a slab. Should your project be over that amount (60 total square feet for example), the additional 20 sf will come from a second slab. It is a common misconception that you are buying the entire slab, therefore entitling you to the leftover. You actually ONLY pay for the 20 additional square feet (in this particular example) that you use from that slab. The rest turns into a remnant that other customers are able to take advantage of for smaller projects like a desk, a vanity, etc. When shopping from the remnant pieces, you aren’t required to meet the 40 square foot minimum and just purchase what you need for the smaller job.
