Are there any smart ways to cut the cost of granite?

I’m on a budget.  Are there any smart ways to cut cost?

Your edge selection is an easy way to trim off some cost from the job.  We price the edges based on linear feet (the number of exposed feet that would require finished edges).  If your kitchen layout has an island, a great way to cut costs is to do a dressier edge on the island portion alone and keep the perimeter to something more simplified.  Many customers go this route.  Since the island is your focal point to begin with, your eye won’t even notice the simpler edge on the perimeter of your kitchen.  The more decorative edge on the island gives the illusion that the entire kitchen has been finished in the same way.  Your designer can definitely help you to determine not only smart ways to stick within budget but to make sure that everything turns out exactly as you’d hoped!
