Quartz is a man made kitchen counters material that is made by starting with natural quartz and grinding or breaking it up and then reconstituting it into slab form so that it can be processed and shaped just like natural stone slabs.

Quartzite is a bit more expensive than granite or quartz but it's beauty is unsurpassed. It holds up exceptionally well due to it's hardness. It takes an amazing polish, again due to just how hard a material it truly is.

The colors in Quartzite are amazing and the grain or pattern is unique to the material type.
