Soapstone is easy to care for and is almost the opposite of granite. The difference is that soapstone counters will age and patina over time and acquire scratches that make it a warm and rustic choice not at all a "bling" choice. Light sanding will remove scratches and a coat of mineral oil will renew the appearance time after time, year after year. The beauty of Soapstone is timeless.
